Under the Radar

This propaganda technique does not directly try to sell their product to the audience so I called it covert propaganda. One way of being able to do this is to make a viral video that does not really sell a product to the viewers. They just imply that the viewers should get or have a certain product. Once the video goes viral, thousands if not millions of people would have seen it. An example of this would be Hi-Tec’s advertisement that made use of a viral video called liquid mountaineering. Here, they showed a way of running on water, but could only be done with special shoes. It caught on because people thought it was real until they revealed it was an advertisement campaign.
